The Youth Ministry was in action at Upper Room on Sunday, March 2 as they hosted their first Youth Service for 2014. The youths went all out in inviting their friends and family to the service. Under the leadership of the Youth Directors – Kamal and Shari Gilzene, the youths demonstrated their gifts and organizational capabilities. From ushering, to announcements, to multimedia control the young people could be seen serving in various aspects of the service. They praised and worshipped God and were eager to show their abilities to all who came.
Brother Elijah of Kings House was the Guest Artiste, ministering his own original songs which not only engaged the youths, but challenged them as well. Minister Ricardo Houslin was the Guest Speaker and he ministered on the theme – “God’s Love tun up til it tun ova” translated to mean – “God’s love never fails.” His message encouraged everyone that God never holds our failures and shortcomings against us and that absolutely nothing can separate us from the love that God has for each and everyone of us. The message can be heard in full under our audio messages from our Homepage and check out the Youth Ministry page (under Ministries) to view pictures of the event.
We thank all who made the Youth Sunday a success and special thanks to Island Grill, Manor Park Community Project which provided refreshment afterwards.
