INTEGRITY, by Pastor Metz Peterkin
In this message, integrity was defined as a firm adherence to a code of especially moral values and incorruptibility. In Jamaica and all over the world, different professional groups have codes of conduct which provide guidelines for how their members should behave (e.g. The Police and Teachers). For Christians that code of conduct is the Bible. We looked at persons in the Bible who took a stand for their integrity (Job) or took a fall because they had no integrity (Ananias and Saphira). We were really challenged to examine our actions under hardships, in public & private spaces, in the area of our sexuality and in our ministries, to determine if our integrity was standing or falling. The message concluded that repentance and obedience to God were sure ways for us to keep and maintain our integrity before God and man.
